During the 11:00AM service at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Tallahassee church members were required to evacuate the
building as part of a Fire Drill facilitated by the following partner organizations:
Firefighters and American Red Cross personnel meet prior to the drill to discuss how the drill will be facilitated. |
225 individuals were present in the church just before the FIRE ALARM sounded to begin the Fire Drill. |
In the moments after the FIRE ALARM sounded, members begin to file out the church in a very
orderly fashion. |
The members continue to move out of the building heading to one of two rally points. |
Engines from the Tallahassee Fire Department arrive on-site. |
The chapter's Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) was on-site to provide Mass Care (Feeding) support to the church members
as they waited to gain access back into the building. |
The Capital Area Chapter's Fire / Weather House | was located in
the church parking lot so that the church's youth could practice their home fire safety techniques.
After the Tallahassee Fire Department gave the all clear signal, church members began to return to the building to eat lunch. |
