Be Flood Alert

The time has come to face the fact that the Capital Area can no longer afford the high cost of floods. We can no longer afford the economic costs to the taxpayer, nor can we afford the social costs to our communities, businesses, families and individuals.

This web site has been developed to provide information to individuals, families, businesses and neighborhoods on how to prepare for the possibility of flooding as well as the steps that can be taken to reduce future damage and loss of life due to flooding.

Know Your Flood Hazard

By reviewing the Property Maps for Leon County or the Flood Insurance Rate Maps for our surrounding counties, you can determine if you live or work in a known flood plain.
