The Disaster Resistant Neighborhood House is a fifteen foot trailer designed to travel throughout the Capital Area Chapter's eight (8) county jurisdiction to educate individuals and families on disaster preparedness.

From Smoke Alarms to a Pet Disaster Supplies Kit this unique disaster preparedness trailer contains a wide variety of disaster preparedness items. Hurricane straps and other disaster resistant construction techniques can easily be seen due a the number of cut away sections within the trailer.
Building Disaster Resistant Neighborhoods The Disaster Resistant Neighborhood House can easily be transported to community events throughout the Capital Area Chapter's jurisdiction. All it takes to move it is a standard full size pickup truck.
Building Disaster Resistant Neighborhoods One each side of the trailer are two (2) doors which open into different rooms. There are a total of four (4) different rooms displayed within the trailer. The KITCHEN, the BATHROOM, the LIVING ROOM and the BEDROOM. Each room contains a wide variety of disaster preparedness items.
Building Disaster Resistant Neighborhoods On the exterior of one side you can see a cut away section which features a roof to foundation tie down system.
