The chapter's annual End of Hurricane Season Cookout wall held on December 8 at 5:00PM at the Chapter House in Tallahassee, all Disaster Services Volunteers and their families were invited to participate.

The 2007 cookout was a "All-American Chili Cookoff" complete with:

• Chili
• Cole Slaw
• Corn Bread
• Salad
• Apple Pie

2007 Hurricane Season In Review

Disaster Services Volunteers from the Capital Area Chapter had a very un-eventfull 2007 Hurricane Season. However, the chapter did place its Disaster Services Volunteers on Stand-By as Tropical Storm Barry approached the region.

While the season was a mild one, the chapter's Disaster Services Volunteers were ready to respond to the needs of hurricane victims throughout Florida and the United States.
