In January of 2002 the Fire House and Fire/Weather House program accomplished a major milestone of by providing 30,000 young people with home fire prevention and safety education during the previous two years.
	To mark the occasion the Capital Area Chapter and the Tallahassee Fire Department conducted a special Fire House training opportunity and media event at Maclay School. Here Nelson Harbin instructs a class of fourth graders in the Fire House's bedroom.
	At the end of the Fire House presentation the participants test their evacuation skills.
	An important part of the day's activities was participation from our local television stations.
	Where ever the Fire House or Fire/Weather House are found you will see an engine from the Tallahassee Fire Department.
	After the children experience the Fire House they then are given the opportunity to learn how a fire engine works.
