You and your organization could help out in time of a disaster by taking American Red Cross Disaster Services
courses. These courses are aimed at beginning volunteers who want to provide basic relief services.
All Disaster Services training is free of charge and is open to the general public. You can register On-Line, or by calling the Disaster Services Voice Mail at 850/894-6741, or by faxing your name, phone number and course selection to 850/878-6602.

Canopy Oaks RegionThe Canopy Oaks Region of the American Red Cross is comprised of four (4) American Red Cross chapters. One in North Florida and three (3) in Southwest Georgia. This Disaster Services training calendar reflects the scheduled Disaster Services courses of all four (4) American Red Cross chapters within the Canopy Oaks Region.
Disaster Leave LawsIf you are an employee of the State of Florida, State of Georgia, City of Tallahassee, or Leon County, you can receive 15 days of paid disaster leave to volunteer during a disaster for the American Red Cross.
On-Line Disaster Services Training
Participant WorkbookWhen you choose the course you would like to register for, please download, print and review a copy of the Participant Workbook for the course. You will also need to bring your copy of the Participant Workbook with you to the course.
